Amprobe VPC-12 [4375938] Voltage and Continuity Tester with VolTech Non-contact Voltage Detection. The Amprobe VPC-12 hand-held residential and commercial Voltage and Continuity Tester with VolTech and Non-contact voltage detection is loaded with safety, time-saving and accuracy features. The VPC12 allows users to quickly troubleshoot voltage and continuity for residential and commercial applications using visual and audible alerts. Ideal for light commercial and residential electricians, contractors and homeowners. With the Amprobe VPC-12 you can quickly measure AC and DC voltage in circuitry and its components - including outlets, light fixtures, batteries and extension cords - as well as test the continuity of fuses, light bulbs, and electrical connections. In addition to full range polarity detection, it signals continuity and voltage with visual and audible alerts. On its face, seven LED indicators clearly differentiate between key voltage levels: 24, 120, 208, 240, 277, 480, 600 V ac; and 6, 12, 24, 36, 48,110, 220 V dc. To increase accuracy and speed, the VPC-12 turns on when a complete circuit is sensed, automatically selects AC or DC Voltage or continuity mode, and autos-off when removed from circuit. Measuring under 6 inches long and weighing less than half a pound, this rugged, compact design allows for easy one-handed use. With an operating battery life of 300 hours and operating temperature ranging from 41 degrees F to 140 degrees F, the VPC-12 is just as rugged and reliable as they are safe. A vibrating alert indicates the presence of continuity as well as dangerous voltage levels, in additional to the visual and audible alerts mentioned above. This is especially helpful when wearing thick PPE gloves and working in a noisy environment.
